Live stream experiment

Want to help us with a live stream experiment?

We are going to live stream from the Tate Weds 15 March between 12pm and 2pm, and we want to see if you can join us remotely, and help test out the feedback functionality and remote communications.

Interested, then you can try the below now in preparation for tomorrow?

Please go to: https://estream.arts.ac.uk/
Go to & hover over Guest User (top right) and select Log Out
Login using your UAL user name and password (same you use for your email)
Leave a comment on the live stream recording from last week, say what you think about the possibilities of live streaming as a student or staff or just say hello.
Any problems with logging in please let me know c.follows@arts.ac.uk you can exit the login screen by clicking cancel.
Its a trial live stream account so don't worry if you cant log in you'll still be able to join the live stream by clicking on the View - Live Broadcast)

SOME IMPORTANT SAFETY INFO

We must all try and keep safe, there's a lot of new people exploring electronics for the first time so let’s all key an eye out for each other and anyone bringing electronics in:

Some Golden rules are:

Don’t mess with anything plugged into the wall going through mains electric
If in doubt STOP what you are doing and go and talk to someone, seek advice from an expert
For everything you do think about what would happen if a 4-year-old got their hands on it
Make sure no drinks are in open glasses near the electrics
All tech must be PAT tested or less than a year old
Tape down all floor cables
People may rock up with their own kit so if you see anyone doing something with old or dangerous looking kit let us know straight away.
Only those people/groups who have submitted a Risk Assessment on time will be setting up workshops & events
There’s loads more to think about so we’ll keep adding any suggestions you have to the blog and remember any concerns speck to Chris Follows or the Tate team.

Open Design - Collective Poster Designs for Tate Exchange Events

We thought rather than having one poster design for the Tate Event/s, it would be good to call out to anyone in the collective, to create lots of different designs and also some alternative experimental posters/adverts maybe?

Here are some posters we have received so far which we'll show on Weds 22nd event, thank you all - also we'll be making posters on the day with Analogue Systems.

Overview

The Message module is the core of the message stack. It enables logging and displaying system events in a number of different use cases. Events that are recorded over time are sometimes call activity streams. Exportable messages subtypes can be created for different use cases with custom fields and display (view) modes.
